These terms cover your use of this website and how our free estimates work. The written contract you sign for a painting job always governs that job.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Peinture Quali-T Pro (“Quali-T Pro”, “we”, “us”), a residential and commercial painting business based in Embrun, Ontario, serving clients within about 150 km of Embrun in Ontario and Quebec.

2. Using this website

By using this website you agree to these terms. You agree not to misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, no automated scraping that overloads it, and no sending unlawful, harmful or misleading content through our forms. We may update or take down any part of the site at any time.

Content on this site is general information about our services. It is not professional, engineering or safety advice for your specific property.

3. Free estimates

• Estimates are free and carry no obligation.
• An estimate prepared from photos, a phone call or the online form is a preliminary price based on what you told us. We may adjust it after we see the site in person.
• Unless it says otherwise, a written estimate is valid for 30 days from the date we send it.
• Prices exclude HST (or GST/QST for work in Quebec) unless the estimate says so.
• Conditions we couldn’t reasonably see when estimating (for example rot, water damage, mould, failing previous coatings or lead-based paint) may change the scope and price. We will tell you before doing any extra work and will not proceed without your approval.
• “Written quote in 24 hours” is our goal for requests with enough information. Busy seasons, missing details or larger projects can take longer; we will let you know.

4. Contracts and your consumer rights

A job starts only once we have both agreed to a written contract or signed estimate describing the work, price, schedule and payment terms. If anything in that contract conflicts with these website terms, the contract wins.

Ontario clients: your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 apply. If the agreement is signed in your home and is over $50, you generally have a 10-day cooling-off period to cancel it for any reason, and any other cancellation rights the Act gives you.

Quebec clients: the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) and the Civil Code of Québec apply where they govern the agreement, including any cancellation rights for contracts concluded away from our place of business.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

5. Scheduling, weather and access

• Exterior work depends on temperature, humidity and rain. We may move a start or finish date for weather so the paint cures properly, and we will tell you as early as we can.
• You agree to give us safe access to the work areas, and access to water and electricity during working hours.
• Please remove fragile items, valuables and wall hangings from work areas. We protect floors and furniture, and move heavy furniture only if agreed.
• If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice.

6. Colours, finishes and the Colour Studio

The Colour Studio and every colour shown on this site are approximations. Screens, lighting and surfaces change how a colour looks. The colour and finish you approve in writing (ideally after a sample on your wall) is the one we apply. We are not responsible for differences between what you saw on screen and the paint on your wall.

7. Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit, progress payments and accepted payment methods, are set out in your written contract. Any deposit is applied to the final invoice.

8. Workmanship and warranty

We stand behind our work. The warranty that applies to your job, its length and what it covers are set out in your written contract. Warranties generally do not cover damage caused by moisture or structural movement, impact, improper cleaning, or surfaces you chose not to have us prepare. Manufacturers’ paint warranties are provided by the manufacturer.

9. Photos of your project

With your permission, we may photograph our work to share on this site and on social media. We avoid showing house numbers, licence plates or people, and we will remove a photo of your home if you ask.

Photos you send us with an estimate request are used only to prepare your estimate (see our Privacy Policy).

10. Our content

The text, photos, videos, logos and design of this site belong to Quali-T Pro or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages, but you may not copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

11. Links to other sites

We link to other sites, such as Instagram. We don’t control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

12. Limitation of liability

This website is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the website, or from the site being unavailable. Our responsibility for painting work is governed by your written contract and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer living in Quebec, you keep the protection of Quebec’s mandatory consumer laws and may bring a claim in Quebec.

14. Language

These terms are available in English and French. Both versions are equally valid. Les présentes conditions sont offertes en français et en anglais; les deux versions ont la même valeur.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect contracts already signed.
